Women In Leadership Society (WIL) exists to make women in Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) and related healthcare technology fields more visible, more connected, and more supported.
We are committed to building a professional community rooted in belonging, mentorship, leadership development, integrity, and respect. These policies are intended to protect that community and create clear expectations for anyone who participates in WIL programs, events, online spaces, media, or partnerships.
WIL welcomes different experiences, perspectives, career paths, and points of view. We ask everyone participating in the WIL community to:
WIL may moderate or remove content, comments, or participants when conduct conflicts with these standards or creates an unsafe or disruptive environment.
Trust is essential to WIL. Personal experiences shared in private WIL communities, mentorship conversations, member discussions, or other non-public spaces should be treated with care and discretion. Members and participants should not share another person's private story, contact information, employment situation, photographs, recordings, or identifying information outside of the intended setting without permission. Participation in WIL does not create a guarantee of confidentiality between individual members, so we encourage everyone to use good judgment when sharing sensitive professional or personal information.
WIL mentorship is intended to provide connection, perspective, encouragement, professional development, and access to shared experience. Mentors are not acting as attorneys, therapists, medical providers, human resources representatives, financial advisors, or employment decision-makers through their participation in WIL. Mentors and mentees are responsible for establishing appropriate boundaries and deciding what information they are comfortable sharing. WIL may assist with introductions and matching, but the success or outcome of a mentoring relationship cannot be guaranteed.
WIL events are designed to create meaningful opportunities for connection, learning, mentorship, visibility, and professional growth. Participants are expected to follow the same standards of respect and professionalism that apply to WIL's online community. WIL may establish additional participation requirements for specific events, programs, or private spaces. Some WIL gatherings may be intentionally designed to provide a dedicated space for women. Event descriptions will identify participation expectations when applicable.
WIL uses storytelling to increase visibility for women in HTM and bring leadership experiences into the open. Participation in a podcast, recorded interview, photography session, video, or other media activity does not automatically mean WIL may use that material without appropriate permission. When content is intended for publication, participants may be asked to provide consent for its use across WIL channels, which may include the WIL website, social media, podcast platforms, promotional materials, clips, newsletters, and sponsor-facing materials. Podcast guests are not required to endorse WIL sponsors or sponsor products and services.
Sponsors and partners help WIL expand programming, visibility, mentorship, events, storytelling, and leadership opportunities. Financial or in-kind support does not give a sponsor control over WIL's mission, community conversations, editorial decisions, podcast interviews, member opinions, or organizational positions. Sponsor recognition may include agreed-upon visibility such as logos, acknowledgments, event participation, podcast recognition, digital content, or other promotional benefits. WIL works to pursue partnerships that are aligned with our mission and appropriate for our community.
Stories and opinions shared by WIL members, podcast guests, speakers, mentors, volunteers, partners, or contributors belong to the individual sharing them unless otherwise stated. Their views do not necessarily represent an official position of Women In Leadership Society. Content provided through WIL is intended for education, professional development, community building, and general informational purposes. It should not be considered legal, medical, financial, tax, employment, or other professional advice.
WIL may share employment opportunities, educational resources, industry information, partner resources, events, organizations, or third-party websites that may be useful to our community. Sharing a resource does not necessarily constitute an endorsement, guarantee, or recommendation by WIL. WIL is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, availability, or actions of third-party websites or organizations.
WIL may share job openings, internships, educational programs, scholarships, speaking opportunities, or other professional opportunities. WIL does not guarantee employment, hiring, promotion, compensation, placement, acceptance, or other career outcomes. Employers and applicants are responsible for conducting their own due diligence and determining whether an opportunity or candidate is appropriate for them.
WIL reserves the right to moderate its platforms and programs and to limit or discontinue participation when behavior conflicts with our community standards, organizational rules, event expectations, or the safety and integrity of the community. Our goal is not to eliminate disagreement. It is to maintain a space where people can have thoughtful conversations, learn from one another, build meaningful professional relationships, and support women in HTM.
If you have a concern about community conduct, privacy, content, sponsorship, an event, or a WIL program, please contact the Women In Leadership Society team through our website. We encourage community members to raise concerns when something does not feel consistent with WIL's standards.
